Nessebar Bulgaria

Nessebar - A world heritage site just 3 km from Sunny Beach!

For a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of Sunny Beach and enjoy the tranquillity of days gone by, visit the nearest fishing village of Nessebar. Nessebar fishing boats

A UNESCO World Heritage site, Nessebar has a history dating back 2,500 years. The magnificent old quarter is under preservation order as a museum town, housing the remains of 40 churches from different periods of history. You will find superb opportunities for photography, and the narrow cobbled streets and gabled houses make Nessebar an ideal place to visit for that important souvenir bought from the street market, or an excellent meal in one of its many restaurants - fish a speciality!

There is no "museum" feeling here though - both old and the new town provide an amazing mixture of old architecture and cosmopolitan feeling brought by the thousands of people visiting each summer.

For those that like the life on the ocean waves during the season a water taxi also ply's between Nessebar and Sunny Beach or alternatively you can always take the bus for the 15 mins journey from the resort.
